LUCA School of Arts, Campus Lemmens is a pioneer in integrating (artistic) research in the education of every student: each single student – whether an instrumental performer, a conductor, a composer, a theorist, a pedagogue or a therapist – will have to prove his or her research skills as a part of the Master exam. The music therapy department (unique in Belgium) is a reference in all Europe, while the music pedagogy department is developing towards a leading position. The LUCA School of Arts Campus Lemmens Jazz and its teachers are known far beyond the Belgian borders.
